The main focus of this week in class mostly about Wikipedia and
the posts we made but before that we read about Steve Jobs. After reading about
Steve Jobs and my opinion of him has changed quite a bit. As a smart man he
still had some issues and didn’t seem to be that good of a person. It reminds
me of those athletes we love to watch on TV but off the court they are at strip
clubs and have many legal issues. You respect what they do for a living but you
don’t fully respect them as a person. Then again, that is how I see it and feel
about that matter.
The Wikipedia post was really cool. There are so many things
that people can update. The thing that surprised me was how quick it is to edit
and how specific things are that need to be created. Baby furniture for example
was something I would have never thought of but coming across it, it felt easy
enough to edit about. My only issue was with posting and adding pictures. You aren’t
allowed to use google images even if you want to cite it. That is a little bit
confusing since there pictures are out there wanting to be used but that is why
we are focusing on copy righted material. To finish off the week, we have an
essay due this Friday I believe and I plan on finish it early to make sure it
is really good and I get an A+.
