It was presentation week for the our ESOC class. All the presentations
were superb! It was obvious that the groups had a general interest on all the
subjects. The questions that were asked by fellow classmates were great too. It
is cool to see how the class was fully engaged in the topics at hand. I know
for a fact that I learned about a ton of different things and saw many
controversial topics discussed in a neutral point of view. My views and opinions
I feel aren’t what the majority of the class thinks and to see how some of the
groups didn’t bash any group or person who didn’t agree with them was nice to
see. Also the wording used was very politically correct and not harmful at all
which is something I feel this class is based around.
When it was my group's turn to present I was worried because
we were missing one of our group members but we still did a pretty good job! I
was very proud of my group, at first I was very worried and unsure due to the lack
of care it seemed but really almost everyone did a great job. Next time we have
a group project I would have almost the exact same people in the group as they
are stellar students and workers. It was stressful that we finished at a time
later than I expected but next time we can finish a bit earlier. Overall I
am very pleased with how the week went
and am hoping for more strong collaboration.
